## Test Date

Lean Cookie Consent SaaS 1.70.68 was re-measured on 2026-08-16. Competitor rows remain from the 2026-08-08 benchmark run unless their row states otherwise.

## Browser And Runtime

Measurements used Chromium with Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP) network data, HAR capture and HTTP response headers where available.

## Cache And Storage State

Each measurement started from a fresh browser context with empty cache and empty storage.

## Fixture

For each measurable product, the test used a clean HTML page containing only the CMP snippet and a neutral body. The benchmark measures the CMP load, not a full marketing page or production website.

## Initial CMP Load

"Initial CMP load" means the network requests triggered by the CMP before the visitor changes preferences or interacts with the banner.

## Metrics

- Chromium CDP encodedDataLength / transfer: Chromium's encoded transfer size for the initial CMP resources. It can include transfer overhead.
- Brotli HTTP body: the compressed response body size exposed by the server through Content-Length.
- Request count: every CMP-originated request during initial load, before preference interaction.

## Competitor Configurations

For competitors where a disposable public customer account was unavailable, the benchmark used public vendor-owned or public/sample configurations extracted from official vendor sites and loaded into a clean intercepted page on the same vendor host. This is reproducible, but may not represent a minimal customer configuration.

Competitor Brotli body values that were not captured are left blank in CSV and represented as null in JSON.

## Caveats

- Public vendor configurations do not always equal minimal customer configurations.
- Results vary by region, cache state, language count, product version, active features and optional assets.
- This benchmark is not a legal or compliance audit and does not certify regulatory status.
- The Lean around-5 KB claim applies to the Brotli HTTP body for the mono and bilingual configurations, not to overhead-inclusive Chromium CDP transfer.
- Axeptio was measured during research but is not used in the main headline because the public configuration loaded a large video asset immediately.
